Drifter was a once in a lifetime dog, a beautiful representation of the PWD standard. Black wavy with white chest, he was a very classic looking boy. He had a wonderful head and muzzle, beautiful proportions, and a fantastic rear, which he produced in his offspring. Drifter loved to show and was a fabulous moving dog in the ring. He also excelled in the water and has produced many great working dogs. He is one of only 7 Portuguese Water Dogs to be awarded a Producer of Merit Award by the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America. He had an outstanding show career, was #3 PWD in 2007and was ranked in the Top Twenty for 5 years. He was awarded the People's Choice Award at the first PWD Top Twenty and received 3 Awards of Merit from PWDCA and a Award of Excellence at Eukanuba. Drifter has all health information listed at OFA, has excellent hips and is clear for all genetic testing suggested by PWDCA.
